Click3D endorsed again!

Hello!

It is with great pride that Click3D has once again received a recommendation for its services, this time from Andrew Witcomb of Witcomb Project Management, a company specialising in interior design for the leisure industry and one which Click3D has worked with many times in the past, delivering several successful schemes encompassing both architectural visualisation and signage, some of which feature in the portfolio pages. Andrew’s recommendation is below:

“Stuart has produced a great deal of incredible visualisation and ...

Stop! Start! Continue!

Hello!

It’s been quite busy here of late hence the lack of blog and portfolio updates, although that’s no bad thing I suppose. Anyway, quite a few projects on the go, near completion or delivered so that’s good. First up was a project to illustrate a demolition company’s methodology which presents a challenge both in terms of stylistic requirements and also in general, the latter because as architectural visualisers we all make models of things that are going up, not coming ...

Portfolio update: Kitchen remodelling

Architectural illustration for interior designers.

Hello again!

Today we have a new addition to the portfolio, namely a kitchen remodelling project. Click3D was commissioned to provide views of this space after the property owner secured planning permission to extend his property which enabled him to completely remodel the existing interior space, specifically swapping the position of the kitchen and family room. Working from hand-drawn plans and assorted sketches Click3D delivered two views for this project – the one you see in this update and another taken ...

It’s been a while!

Hello!

Greetings from the all-new Click3D bunker! – As the title of this blog entry suggests, it has been a while (and then some) since Click3D’s last entry on this here blog. The reasons for this are many and mainly work-related – working in-house for clients old and new plus remote commissions and a move to West Sussex all mean that time has been at a premium. There’s also the small and insignificant matter of downloading some updates for the site ...

Educating the Client

So, a more sober blog posting today, this specifically to do with how to inform the client of the necessities and processes involved with any kind of architectural visualisation project.

Above and beyond managing expectation, whereby the client is told that in order to achieve the desired result a certain amount of time is required, clearly it is important to be as transparent as possible in terms of acquiring information, when needs to be submitted by and milestones. However, if the ...

Portfolio update: Heathrow T2

Architectural illustration of bar proposal

It’s been a busy few weeks in Click3D-world so the lack of portfolio updates (or updates at all, for that matter) probably isn’t all that surprising. To remedy that, added to the portfolio today is one of three images created for a pitch presentation for a luxury bar in Heathrow’s Terminal Two.

Whereas most architectural visualisation projects rely on or are guided by CAD submissions and specific material details, this was notable for their absence, apart from a floorplan and a ...

Photoshop visualisation….on a Mac!

So, it’s clearly been quiet on the count of blog updates from Click3D for the last few weeks and there’s good reason for that (well, if we’re honest with each other, ways and means could be found around it but let’s not dilute the idea of heroic self-sacrifice for now…), that being working in-house on some illustrations for an Italian bag and accessory company with a workflow which required a different approach from the usual methodology.

Key to this project was ...

Causes for celebration

So, two years ago today Click3D opened its doors (well, picked up the phone and started making calls, but that doesn’t sound anywhere near as grand) and entered the big, bad world of architectural visualisation. Naturally there have been good times, even better times, bad times and some a fair bit worse than that but we carry on regardless, bloodied if unbowed, and so here’s to the next two years and two beyond that, too.

Since and in between the last ...

Portfolio update: Bury Hill (Part one)

Architectural visualisation services for property development.

Good morning! – Hope you all have that Friday feeling as we tumble towards another (hopefully) relaxing and rewarding weekend.

It’s been quite busy in the land of Click3D recently – most recently assistance has been delivered in the setting up of an in-house visualisation department at a design and build firm, with phase one complete and future phases waiting in the wings. So, taking that into account, perhaps it is time to add another image to the portfolio – This ...

Tutorial#1: Masonry Designer

Good morning! A slightly different entry to the blog today, this being a tutorial on the Accurate Image Masonry Designer application. Creating brick textures is something which is often fraught with issue as a tiling texture on something with a large expanse, as brick is likely to be, is an instant image-killer.

So, this program and the tutorial as detailed below, goes some way to assisting at the very basic level and avoiding the main and common issue highlighted above. Without ...
